DESCRIPTION:
Bushy shrub with ovate to broadly lance-shaped dark green leaves to 6″ long with toothed margins; solitary 5-petalled bright crimson, orange, yellow or pink flowers 4″ across with yellow-anthered red stamens; grows to 10 ft.

CULTIVATION:
Water moderately; fertilize monthly; full sun

PROPAGATION:
Softwood cuttings

COMMENTS:
It is the national flower of Malaysia; the red petals symbolize courage, life and rapid growth of Malaysia
