DESCRIPTION:
2-3 ft. tall plant with green lanceolate foliage arranged opposite along the stem which contains a milky sap; flowers are in cymes with purple/red corollas

CULTIVATION:
Drought tolerant; full sun

PROPAGATION:
Harvest seed once the pods open; grows well from seed

COMMENTS:
The choice plant of the Monarch butterfly to lay her eggs; excellent nectar plant
