DESCRIPTION:
Conical, coniferous tree with distinctive, whorled branches of fan-like foliage; grows to 50 ft. in most conservatories
CULTIVATION:
Feed with half strength fertilizer every two weeks; prefers humidity; resents transplantation; bright, filtered light
PROPAGATION:
Take cuttings of vertical shoot tips; seed
COMMENTS:
Althought it is not of the genera Pinus as its common name would imply, the Norfolk Island Pine’s cone seeds are a favourite food source for parrots
