DESCRIPTION:
Densely tufted perennial; basal leaves absent; numerous winged dark green stems each produce a terminal whorl of green arching leaf-like bracts 4 – 6″ long; small spikelets of pale yellow-brown flowers in compound umbels; grows 18 – 36″

CULTIVATION:
Prefers wet soil; part shade to full sun

PROPAGATION:
Divide in spring

COMMENTS:
A very hardy pond accent
