If you’ve visited the Conservatory lately you might notice that the dining room looks a little bit different these days. We removed counters and partitions in favour of a more open, airy space, increasing our capacity for a seated reception. We added a brick accent wall, two industrial-chic chandeliers and some neutral paint tones, transforming our space into the perfect backdrop for a modern and elegant wedding reception.
The renovations finished July 2017, and we’d been dying to do a styled wedding shoot ever since. Unfortunately, getting a team of wedding industry professionals together to do a styled shoot during peak wedding season is pretty much impossible, but we finally found a date in October 2018 that worked for all of us.
We worked with Tanya at AWE Events for several years now, and her creative vision never ceases to amaze us. Tanya’s choice of neutral grey linens and metallic geo shapes coupled with the soft florals from Floral Factory gave a modern twist to the dreamy, romantic feel. Floor to ceiling windows allowed for an abundance of natural light and effortlessly accented the pale greens and yellows in the centerpieces.
Gorgeous stationary designed by Heather at Red Bicycle Paper Co., a unique cake design from Jaimi at Cocobella Cakes, and delicious treats from Jake and Ellas Cookies rounded out the design palette perfectly.
Our models enjoyed being pampered by Meghan Barbour, Makeup Artist and Keira Gilbert from FAD Hair Studio. Outfits from La Crème Décor and Collins Formal Wear completed their looks.
The entire collaboration was expertly captured by Melanie Murray from BoXphotography – the finished product was breathtaking.
